Most of the dj remix cd's were given away for free on various websites. Then after all the listeners got tired of hearing the DJ's remix the same song over and over, or they thought the the new DJ's sucked and only listened to the "older DJ's" they all quit listening to the genre and the DJ's either switched to deejaying trance or hip hop and some of them let the remix scene to focus and college and actually make money. I believe that a lof of the DJ's deejayed in Texas & Louisiana to college kids who were into the local breakbeat scene for a couple of years. Hated that pretentious crap, and I'm glad it's pretty much gone.The breaks that are "trance remixes" that I posted are pretty much underground. So when someone like this pair of Geordie scamps show up, unafraid to mix contemporary electronic grind with old school bump to gleeful effect. Half these people you posted I've never heard of - not unusual for me I'm pretty clueless at times - I'm assuming most of them are one to two song acts. Been at it for 16 years, still touring and producing full time. 60 vinyl releases, 9 CDs, 2 DVDs + a boatload of remix work. Have nearly 250 songs under my belt in this style.
